Warm. Spiritual. Totally Welcoming.

Welcome to Congregation Shir Tikvah and L'shanah Tovah!

This year, more than any other, we look forward to coming together as a Jewish community for the High Holidays. We will share meaningful services anchored in the Torah and in the precious legacies of our ancestors. 5780 has brought to all of us unimaginable challenges. And so, the Days of Awe will have new meaning and even greater opportunities for spiritual growth.

Although our services will not be held in our shul, we are making them virtual and accessible to all. We want everyone - members and nonmembers - to feel welcome and a part of these holy days.

If you are not a member, we are grateful that you have chosen to attend High Holiday services with us. We also hope, if you are able, that you will consider making a contribution to Congregation Shir  Tikvah to help strengthen our religious offerings and programs. You may do so by clicking here for our donation page.

Should you be interested in learning more about joining our Shir Tikvah community as a member, please contact Lorelei Berg, our Executive Director, who will be happy to talk with you, as well as answer questions on the services. She may be reached at 248-649-4418, Ex 1 or at

Our Mission Statement:
Congregation Shir Tikvah is an innovative, yet traditional, friendly and inclusive congregation, valuing diversity, where all can seek G-d and strengthen spiritual, social, educational and cultural aspects of Jewish life. As a bridge between our membership, our community and the State of Israel, Shir Tikvah embraces our heritage, provides continuity and encourages the evolution of Judaism into the future.

We proudly serve members from, but not limited to, Oakland, Macomb, Genesee, Lapeer and Wayne counties.  We are located in Troy just north of the Somerset Mall (South of Wattles, between Crooks and Coolidge).
